Gunilla Hyllander new General Manager of Hybrit Development AB
The Board of Hybrit Development AB has appointed Gunilla Hyllander as General Manager as of 1 September 2024. Ulf Spolander, who has been General Manager since 1 September 2022, is leaving Hybrit for a new position as senior business developer at LKAB.
“I am very inspired and glad for the opportunity to lead this special company into a new phase. I see a continued need to drive technological development and build competence to primarily support the owner companies’ industrialisation of a new fossil-free process,” says Gunilla Hyllander.
Gunilla Hyllander has been part of the HYBRIT initiative since 2016 and has been involved in building up the operations within Hybrit Development AB. In recent years, Gunilla has been engaged in process and product development in the role of Direct Reduction Process Development Manager. Gunilla previously has a background in LKAB where she worked with product development of iron ore pellets, both as a researcher and manager. Gunilla holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Luleå University of Technology.

Hybrit Development AB’s Board of Directors also consists of Jenny Greberg, Vice President Technology at LKAB, and Andreas Regnell, Head of Strategy at Vattenfall. The chairmanship alternates every two years between the three representatives of SSAB, LKAB and Vattenfall.
Ulf Spolander will leave Hybrit Development AB and take up his new role as senior business developer at LKAB on 1 September 2024.
